The village of Staryi Oleksynets on the Dobryn River is located 25 kilometers south of Pochaiv, 45 kilometers north of Ternopil.

Known since 1430, it belonged to Soltan Zbarazkyi. Staryi Oleksynets Castle was built in the 16th century by Andriy Vyshnevetskyi, who owned these lands at that time.

In addition to the remains of the bastion fortifications of the castle, the Saint Andrew's Church (1756), rebuilt from the castle church, has been preserved.

Село Старий Олексинець на річці Добринь розташоване в 25 кілометрах на південь від Почаєва, в 45 кілометрах на північ від Тернополя.
