Khorosno

The village of Khorosno is located 20 kilometers south of Lviv, next to the highway M-06 Kyiv – Chop. Administratively, it is part of the Solonka community of Lviv district.

For the first time, the village of Khorosno was mentioned in a deed of 1384 as the property of the Polish kings. Its name probably comes from the Polish word chróst, that is, sickness.

Since 1564, Khorosno belonged to the magnate Martyn Kupat, in the 18th century it was part of the possessions of the Potocki family. In the 18th century, German colonists founded the village of Nove Khorosno – an old German cemetery has been preserved on the western edge of the village.

Built in 1895, the wooden church of the Communion of the Most Holy Virgin Mary burned down in 1998 under unknown circumstances, the surviving belfry was moved to the territory of the Shevchenkivsky grove in Lviv. The modern church was built in 2000-2010 according to the project of the architect Anatoliy Havrylyuk.

On the northern edge of the village there is a private Lost Planes Museum.

Село Хоросно розташоване за 20 кілометрів на південь від Львова, поруч із трасою М-06 Київ – Чоп. Адміністративно входить до складу Солонківської громади Львівського району.

Вперше село Хоросно згадується у грамоті 1384 року як власність польських королів. Його назва, імовірно, походить від польського слова chróst, тобто хворост.

З 1564 року Хоросно належало магнату Мартину Купату, у XVIII столітті входило до володінь роду Потоцьких. Німецькі колоністи у XVIII столітті заснували присілок Нове Хоросно – на західній околиці села зберігся старий німецький цвинтар.

Збудована у  1895 році дерев'яна церква Собору Пресвятої Діви Марії згоріла у 1998 році за нез'ясованих обставин, вцілілу дзвіницю перенесли на територію ...

Збудована у  1895 році дерев'яна церква Собору Пресвятої Діви Марії згоріла у 1998 році за нез'ясованих обставин, вцілілу дзвіницю перенесли на територію Шевченківського гаю у Львові. Сучасний храм Преображення Господнього зведено у 2000-2010 роках за проєктом архітектора Анатолія Гаврилюка.

На північній околиці села розташований приватний музей загиблих літаків.
