General information about Pidberiztsi
The village of Pidberiztsi on the Marunka River is located 5 kilometers from the Lviv district in the direction of Ternopil.
Traces of an early Slavic settlement were found here.
A valuable monument of history and culture has been preserved - the church of Archangel Michael, built in the 19th century in the neo-Byzantine style. In the interiors there are wonderful paintings by Modest Sosenko in the Art Nouveau style.
Село Підберізці на річці Марунька розташоване в 5 кілометрах від львівської окружної в бік Тернополя.
Тут виявлені сліди ранньослов'янського поселення.
Збереглася цінна пам'ятка історії та культури - церква Архистратига Михаїла, побудована в XIX столітті в неовізантійському стилі. В інтер'єрах - чудові розписи Модеста Сосенка в стилі модерн.

Archangel Michael Church

The Church of Archangel Michael in Pidberiztsi near Lviv was built in 1891-1892 according to the project of the famous architect Ivan Levinsky.
The baptistery church was built in the neo-Byzantine style. With the assistance of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi, in 1907-1910, the interiors were decorated with a magnificent monumental painting by the famous artist Mykhaylo Sosenko in the style of Ukrainian Art Nouveau.
Saint Michael's Church in Pidberiztsi belongs to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
