The village of Medenychi on the Letyanka River is located 20 kilometers northeast of Drohobych, on the road to Lviv.
It was first mentioned in 1395, when the Polish king Vladyslav II Yahaylo visited here.
In 1689, a wooden church was founded, which in 1817 was rebuilt in stone and consecrated in the name of the Holy Trinity. The wooden three-log church of Saint Paraskeva, built in 1644, is also preserved - one of the oldest wooden churches in Galicia.
From the civilian buildings, you can see the hospital building (1909) and the old brewery (19th century).
The private zoo "Limpopo" is located in the village.

It contains more than 300 animals representing hundreds of different species of world fauna. The territory of the zoo is more than 3 hectares.
There is a cafe and a summer yard on the territory of the zoo.
