The village of Vilkhivka is located on the left bank of Borzhava, 10 km from Irshava, on the highway Н-09 "Mukachevo - Khust".
Known since 1574 as Elvan (renamed 1945). The village was famous for its pottery.
Mount Dzhublyk is located between Vilkhivka and Nyzhnie Bolotne, which became a place of mass pilgrimage for Greek Catholics after the appearance of the Mother of God to two girls here in 2002. Now on this site the monastery of the Most Holy Theotokos is being built. The longest Way of the Cross in Europe runs from Lviv to Dzhublyk.
