Irshava

The Irshava is a city of center on the banks of the river Irshavka in the very center of Transcarpathia.

It has been known since 1341 as Sevlyush. In 1460, the Hungarian king transferred these lands into the possession of the Ruthenian princes Iloshvayi, which probably gave rise to the Hungarian name Iloshva.

Preserved Peter and Paul Church, built in 1825, as well as an old bridge in the city center. A sundial is installed on the central square.

Nearby is the Enchanted Valley nature reserve, on the territory of which there is an original rock massif "Smerekovy Kamen" and a unique raised peat bog "Chorne Bahno".

Відоме з 1341 року як Севлюш. У 1460 році угорський король передав ці землі у володіння русинських князів Ілошваїв, звідки, ймовірно, пішла угорська назва Ілошва.

Збереглася Петропавлівська церква, побудована в 1825 році, а також старовинний міст в центрі міста. На центральній площі встановлено сонячний годинник.

Поруч знаходиться заказник "Зачарована долина", на території якого розташований оригінальний скельний масив "Смерековий камінь" та унікальне верхове торф'яне болото "Чорне багно".
