Kniahynia

The village of Kniahynia is located near the Ukrainian-Slovak border. The origin of the name is unknown.

For the first time it was mentioned in 1582 as the Knehnina saltate on the lands of the counts of Druget. The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin was built in 1840.

The village is located at the foot of the Stinka ridge in the valley of the Uzh River, on the territory of the Uzhansky National Park. "Green tourism" is developing. Krasiya ski resort is located 15 kilometers from the village.

Between the villages of Kniahynia and Sil, you can find the remains of one of the largest meteorites in Europe - Kniahynensky, which fell in 1866. There are also karst caves nearby.

Село Княгиня розташоване поблизу українсько-словацького кордону. Походження назви невідоме.

Вперше згадується в 1582 році як солтиство Кнегніна на землях графів Другетів. Церква Різдва Богородиці споруджена в 1840 році.

Село розташоване біля підніжжя хребта Стінка в долині ріки Уж, на території Ужанського національного парку. Розвивається "зелений туризм". В 15 кілометрах від села знаходиться гірськолижний курорт Красія.

Між селами Княгиня та Сіль можна виявити залишки одного з найбільших в Європі метеоритів - Княгиненського, який впав в 1866 році. Також неподалік є карстові печери.
