The village of Orikhovytsia on the Uzh River is located 10 kilometers northeast of Uzhhorod, next to the highway H-13 "Uzhhorod - Sambir".
It has been known since the 15th century as Rakhoncha, although it probably existed as early as the 11th century, as evidenced by archaeological finds. In the 14th and 17th centuries, Orikhovytsia belonged to the Hungarian Druget family.
From here, in 1969, an old wooden manor house was moved to the Uzhhorod open-air museum - a monument of folk architecture of the 18th century of the middle course of the Uzh river.
