The small Boykos village of Lubnia is located in the valley of the river of the same name near the Polish border on the territory of the Uzhanskyi National Nature Park.
The village has been known since the 17th century. According to legend, its name comes from the fact that the inhabitants once specialized in the manufacture of bark (lub) and bark products.
The wooden Saint Illya Church was built in 1991 instead of the older one that burned down.

Маленьке бойківське село Лубня розташоване в долині однойменної річки поблизу польського кордону на території Ужанського національного природного парку.
Село відоме з XVII століття. За переказами, його назва походить від того, що мешканці колись спеціалізувалися на виготовленні лубу та луб'яних виробів.
Дерев'яна Іллінська церква зведена 1991 року замість давнішої, що згоріла.
Територія села входить до польсько-словацько-українського Міжнародного біосферного резервату "Східні Карпати", що поєднує унікальні, добре збережені карпатські ландшафти трьох країн. З метою розвитку транскордонних туристичних маршрутів планується відкриття пункту пропуску "Лубня-Волосате" на кордоні з Польщею.

The ethnographic museum of the Lubnia village is located in the premises of the village club.
The museum was created in 2004 by the efforts of local enthusiasts.
The exposition tells about the history and culture of the inhabitants of Uzhanska Verkhovyna. About half a thousand exhibits are presented: embroidered clothes and towels, objects of peasant life, fragments of ancient weapons, old photographs.
All exhibits were donated to the museum by residents of the village of Lubnia.
