The village of Muzhiievo is located 5 kilometers southeast of Berehovo, on the M-23 "Mukachevo-Vynohradiv" highway.
First mentioned in 1114 as Muzhay. Since those times, the ruins of the Romanesque church of John the Baptist (1117) have been preserved on the outskirts of the village, and in the center you can see the Reformation church with a wooden bell tower in the late Gothic style (XIV-XV centuries).
Gold has been mined in Muzhiievo since ancient times, the mine was closed only recently. Now rural tourism is developing.
Since 2010, the "Golden Goulash" festival-fair has been held annually in October.
Село Мужієво розташоване в 5 кілометрах на південний схід від Берегово, на трасі М-23 "Мукачево-Виноградів".
Вперше згадується в 1114 році як Мужай. З тих часів на околиці села збереглися руїни романського костелу Іоанна Хрестителя (1117 рік), а в центрі можна побачити реформаторський костел з дерев'яною дзвіницею в стилі пізньої готики (XIV-XV століття).
З давніх-давен в Мужієво добували золото, копальня закрита лише нещодавно. Зараз розвивається сільський туризм.
З 2010 року щорічно в жовтні проходить фестиваль-ярмарок "Золотий гуляш".
John the Baptist Church

The ruins of the Church of Saint John the Baptist are located in a field to the left of the road at the entrance to the village of Muzhiievo from Berehove.
The early medieval church in the Romanesque style was built in 1117. In the 14th century, the temple was reconstructed, giving it Gothic features. In 1552, the Dominican shrine passed to the Protestants.
In 1657, the church of John the Baptist in Muzhiievo was destroyed by the Poles. Since then, he has not recovered.

The Reformation Church in Muzhiievowas built in the 15th century in the late Gothic style.
The temple has a monumental appearance, its corners and walls are reinforced with buttresses. On the western wall, there is an entrance in the form of a perspective portal with an arch. On the southern wall, between the buttresses, there is an entrance framed in the form of a pointed arch. The pointed arches of the windows on the south side are decorated with sophisticated stone carvings.
Near the church stands a wooden frame two-story belfry with a spire, built in the 18th-19th centuries.
