Kidosh

The village of Kidosh is located 5 kilometers east of Berehove. One of the centers of Transcarpathian winemaking.

According to legend, in the 12th century there was a monastery here, founded by the dethroned Hungarian King Solomon, grandson of Yaroslav the Wise. In documents, Kidosh (Kuyosh) was mentioned for the first time in 1332.

The ancient Gothic church of John the Baptist, built in the 14th century on the basis of the 13th century chapel, has been preserved. Nearby, on Mount Kerek, there is a 12-meter cross.

Село Кідьош розташоване в 5 кілометрах на схід від Берегового. Один з центрів закарпатського виноробства.

За легендою, в XII сторіччі тут був монастир, заснований посунутим з трону угорським королем Соломоном, онуком Ярослава Мудрого. В документах Кідьош (Куйош) вперше згадується в 1332 році.

Зберігся стародавній готичний костел Іоанна Хрестителя, побудований в XIV столітті на основі каплиці ХІІІ століття. Поруч, на горі Керек, встановлено 12-метровий хрест.
