The village of Staryi Uhryniv is located 15 km south of Kalush.
Known since the 15th century. It was founded by immigrants from Transcarpathia - Hungarians (Ugras), which is what the name is related to. According to another version, the name of the first settler was Hrynia.
Staryi Uhryniv is known as the birthplace of the outstanding Ukrainian political figure, the leader of the OUN, Stepan Bandera (the museum is open).
Село Старий Угринів розташоване в 15 кілометрах на південь від Калуша.
Відоме з XV сторіччя. Засноване переселенцями із Закарпаття - угорцями (уграми), з чим і пов'язана назва. За іншою версією, першого поселенця звали Гриня.
Старий Угринів відомий як батьківщина видатного українського політичного діяча, лідера ОУН Степана Бандери (відкрито музей).

The historical and memorial museum of Stepan Bandera was opened in the village of Staryi Uhryniv, where the ideologue of the Ukrainian national movement was born in 1909.
The Bandera family lived here from 1906 to 1933. The exposition reveals the environment in which Stepan Bandera grew up and was brought up, illustrates the life and activities of the leader of the OUN. Personal belongings, documents, photographs are presented.
A collection of Ukrainian banknotes of the 20th century is on display.
The historical and memorial museum of Stepan Bandera in Staryi Ughrynoiv is a branch of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional museum of the liberation struggle named after Stepan Bandera.

The Greek-Catholic church in the village of Staryi Uhryniv has a unique name - the Church of the Entry of Our Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
The wooden temple was founded in 1820, but in 1914 it burned down from a shell, and was later rebuilt (according to some reports, in 1924).
Andriy Bandera, the father of the UPA leader Stepan Bandera, served as a priest in the Staryi Uhryniv church, as evidenced by a commemorative plaque with a bas-relief.
