Isaieve

The village of Isaieve is located on the left bank of the Tylihul River, on the Zolochiv - Ananiv highway, 30 kilometers west of Mykolaivka.

It was founded by runaway peasants at the end of the 18th century, when Major General Ivan Isaiev, a hero of the Russo-Turkish wars, received these lands.

In 1792, the village of Isaieve was first mentioned, which the heirs of Isaiev sold to the landowners Gizhitskyi in the middle of the 19th century. The Isaieve estate was owned by Ivan Gizhitskyi until 1893, when it was inherited by his grandson Oleksandr Kuris. In 1905, a new palace was built on the site of the old manor house, which has survived to this day.

After the revolution, these paintings found shelter in the Cannes house of the artist, when the estate in Isaivka was nationalized. Descendants of Oleksandr Kuris live in Austria.
