The small Boykiv village of Tukholka is located on the M-06 "Kyiv - Chop" road at the entrance to the pass on the border between the Lviv and Transcarpathian regions.
According to legend, it was founded by immigrants from the village of Tukhlia, near Slavsko, after another raid by the Tatars. The date of the foundation of Tukholka is unknown, so the dating of the local Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, which was built in 1845-1858, can be taken as a starting point.
The wooden hut of the Tukholka Viyt Fedir Barna, built in 1910, is now exhibited in the Lviv open-air museum "Shevchenkivskyi Hai".

Assumption of Holy Virgin Church

The wooden church of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Mary in Tukholka was built in 1845-1858.
A three-log, three-storied church in the Boyko style stands on a low hill at the exit from Tukholka to the village of Klemets. A two-story bell tower was built nearby in 1862.
In 1961, the Assumption Church was closed by the Soviet authorities. Divine service was resumed in 1988.
