Semenivka

The town of Semenivka on the Kryva Ruda River is located between Khorol and Hlobyn. Administratively, it is part of the Kremenchuk District of the Poltava Region. Until 2020, the settlement was the district center of the Semenivka District.

The settlement was founded in 1753 on the site of a small farm by the Myrhorod regimental osavul Semen Rodzianko and it was from his name that it received its name. It was part of the Khorol Hundred of the Myrhorod Regiment. Then - to the Khorol County of the Kyiv Governorate. The lands of the village belonged to the landowners Starytsky, descendants of the Rodziankos through the female line.

Cелище Семенівка на річці Крива Руда розташоване між Хоролом та Глобиним. Адміністративно входить до складу Кременчуцького району Полтавської області. До 2020 року селище було районним центром Семенівського району.

Поселення засноване 1753 року на місці маленького хутору миргородським полковим осавулом Семеном Родзянко і саме від його імені отримало свою назву. Входила до Хорольської сотні Миргородського полку. Потім – до Хорольського повіту Київського намісництва. Землі села належали поміщиками Старицьким, нащадкам Родзянків по жіночій лінії.

Наприкінці XIX століття споруджено залізницю Кременчук – Ромни, що пролягла через Семенівку, а місцева станція стала називатися "Веселий Поділ". Збереглися окремі фрагменти старої забудови, серед яких колишній буд ...
