Biliaivka

The city of Biliaivka is located on the banks of the Turunchuk River and Lake Bile, 40 kilometers west of Odesa.

It was founded in the 18th century by the Cossacks after the liquidation of Zaporozhzhian Sich. Named in honor of the first basket chieftain, Bily, who died during the siege of Ochakiv.

The Church of the Assumption (1806) and the Saint Nicolas Church (1900) have been preserved. Interesting ancient buildings of the "Dniester" pumping station, which supplies water to Odesa (the entrance arch of the station with the coat of arms of Biliaivka is considered a symbol of the city).

Місто Біляївка розташоване на березі річки Турунчук і озера Білого в 40 кілометрах на захід від Одеси.

Засноване в XVIII сторіччі козаками після ліквідації Запорозької Січі. Назване на честь першого кошового отамана Білого, який загинув під час облоги Очакова.

Зберігся Свято-Успенський храм (1806 рік) і Миколаївська церква (1900 рік). Цікаві старовинні споруди насосної станції "Дністер", яка забезпечує водою Одесу (в'їзна арка станції з гербом Біляївки вважається символом міста).
