Reni

The border city of Reni is located on the left bank of the Danube, on the border of Ukraine, Romania and Moldova.

The first mention refers to 1548, when the city was part of the Moldavian principality. In 1621, it was captured by the Turks and renamed Tamarove. For some time it belonged to Romania.

The development is connected with the construction of a seaport and a railway. Now it is a convenient transit point when traveling to Romania and Bulgaria.

Прикордонне місто Рені розташоване на лівому березі Дунаю, на кордоні України, Румунії та Молдови.

Перша згадка відноситься до 1548 року, коли місто входило до складу Молдовського князівства. В 1621 році захоплене турками, перейменоване на Тамарове. Деякий час належало Румунії.

Розвиток пов'язаний з будівництвом морського порту та залізниці. Зараз це зручний перевалочний пункт при подорожах до Румунії та Болгарії.
