Vasiutyntsi Arboretum
Park / garden
The Vasyutynsi Arboretum park was founded in 1977 by Ivan Syvolap, a biology teacher at a local school, who was asked to arrange a vacant lot behind the newly built office of the local state farm. Taking the matter seriously, the biologist created an entire arboretum of local importance.
Currently, about 300 types of trees and shrubs grow on the territory of 4.5 hectares. Among them are the relict ginkgo plant (the oldest preserved species on the planet), willow pear, tree peony, Japanese quince, mahonia, Chinese metasequoia and others.
