Kosari

The village of Kosari is located on the banks of the Tyasmin River, 5 kilometers east of Kamyanka.

It arose in the 18th century next to meadows with rich hay, which is where the name comes from. According to another version, the name is a hydronym, because the Kosarka (Khozarka) river flows through the village, which flows into the Tyasmin.

In the 19th century, Kosari belonged to the Davydov landowners from Kamyanka. The estate was purchased from them by the Polish nobleman Frants Rostishevskyi, who in 1872 opened a distillery here (now the Kosar distillery, TM "Kholodnyi Yar").

His grandson Volodymyr Rostishevskyi built a luxurious palace in Kosari for his bride from Germany. Since 1912, ...
