A car from the collection of Counts Potocki left Ukraine for a rally in Monte Carlo

There are more than 2,000 kilometers ahead along the route: Lviv - Krakow - Bielsko-Biala - Bratislava - Vienna - Salzburg - Innsbruck - Como - Alessandria - Monte Carlo. Already on January 27, the Peugeot 201C from the collection of the Potocki family will open this year's competition of historic cars on the main podium in Monte Carlo.

"This is another way in difficult times to remind about our country, which has long-standing traditions related in particular to automobile competitions," said Taras Lozynskyi, Deputy Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Lviv Regional State Administration in his statement on the administration's website.

In 1932, car races were held in Lviv on the Lviv Triangle circuit. Today, there are only two historic ring roads in Europe that have not undergone changes - in Monte Carlo and in Lviv. Auto run with a Ukrainian-Polish crew demonstrates friendship between the peoples of Ukraine and Poland and has a specific mission.

"The event is part of the "Road to help" campaign, the purpose of which is to raise funds to help Ukrainian children who lost their parents, homes and, above all, a sense of security as a result of Russian aggression," said Eliza Dzvonkiewicz, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv , who took part in the event.

In honor of the ceremonial start of the car with the Ukrainian-Polish crew, the official redemption of the thematic envelope and Ukrposhta stamp took place.

В 1932 році у Львові проходили автоперегони на кільцевій трасі "Львівський трикутник". Сьогодні в Європі залишилося лише дві історичні кільцеві траси в межах міст, які не зазнали змін - у Монте-Карло і у Львові. Автопробіг з українсько-польським екіпажем, демонструє дружбу між народами України та Польщі і має певну місію.

"Подія є частиною кампанії "Road to help", метою якої є збір коштів для допомоги українським дітям, які втратили батьків, домівки і, перш за все, відчуття безпеки внаслідок російської агресії", – розповіла Еліза Дзвонкевіч, генеральний консул Республіки Польща у Львові, яка взяла участь у заході.

На честь урочистого старту авто з українсько-польським екіпажем відбулось офіційне погашення тематичного конверту і марки Укрпошти.
