The cornerstone of the exhibition was video mapping, which comes to life in the space of dioramas of the Battle of Zvenyhorod and tells the centuries-old history of the struggle of Ukrainians, which continues today.

An interactive exhibition "Cities of Princes" was opened in the museum of the "Ancient Zvenyhorod" reserve in the Lviv region. Through the finds of archaeologists, it reveals the details of the life of the inhabitants of medieval cities in Ukraine, the museum administration reports on its official Facebook page.

"What were the weekdays and holidays of the inhabitants of princely cities like? What impressed, excited and entertained them? What things did they like? Hundreds of ancient artifacts tell about everyday life and entertainment, faith and writing, military affairs, trade and jewelry art," the message says.

Among other things, the new exhibition presents ten copies and replicas of exceptional artifacts that scientists found in Zvenyhorod, but later they were either lost or scattered across various museums and archives.

"In particular, a unique birch bark charter has finally "returned" to Zvenyhorod. This is the oldest document in the archival fund of Ukraine. The charter was found in 1989 in Zvenyhorod, and now its copy is back in the museum of the reserve," the reserve said.

The highlight of the exhibition is "emotional video mapping", which recreates the history of the life of Zvenyhorod and the centuries-old struggle of the Ukrainian people. A large-scale map of medieval Europe with Zvenyhorod in the center is also presented. And those who want to better study the museum's exhibition are offered a museum quest, which they can complete independently, receiving a free task at the box office.

Admission to the exhibition is free until October 31.

У музеї заповідника "Древній Звенигород" на Львівщині відкрили інтерактивну виставку "Міста князів". Через знахідки археологів вона розкриває деталі життя мешканців середньовічних міст на території України, повідомляє адміністрація музею на офіційній сторінці у Facebook. 

"Якими були будні та свята мешканців княжих міст? Що їх вражало, хвилювало та розважало? Які речі їм подобалися? Сотні давніх артефактів розповідають про побут і забави, віру та писемність, військову справу, торгівлю та ювелірне мистецтво", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Серед іншого у новій експозиції представлено десять копій та реплік виняткових артефактів, які науковці знайшли у Звенигороді, але згодом вони були або втрачені, або розкидані по різних музеях та архівах. 

"Зокрема, нарешті до Звенигорода "повернулась" унікальна берестяна грамота. Це найстаріший документ архівного фонду України. Грамоту знайшли у 1989 році у Звенигороді, і тепер її копія знову у музеї заповідника", – розповіли у заповіднику.

Родзинкою експозиції є "емоційний відеомапінг", що відтворює історію життя Звенигорода та багатосторічної боротьби українського народу. Також представлена масштабна мапа середньовічної Європи зі Звенигородом у центрі. А тим, хто захоче краще вивчити експозицію музею, пропонується музейний квест, який можна пройти самостійно, безкоштовно отримавши завдання на касі.

До 31 жовтня вхід на виставку – безоплатний.
