You can see rare "hairy" flowers during excursions to the Mizhrichyn Regional Landscape Park, which are organized for visitors by the Nature Center "Mizhrichynska Pushcha".
The Pulsatilla flowering season has begun in the territory of the Mizhrichynskyi Regional Landscape Park, which is in Chernihiv Polissia. Photos of the first "fluffy" flowers were published by ecologist and guide Andrii Sahaidak on the Facebook page of the Nature Center "Mizhrichynska Pushcha".
It is noted that under the popular name Pulsatilla there are two rare Red Book species of plants - the Pulsatilla patens or Eastern pasqueflower and the Pulsatilla pratensis or Anemone pratensis.
"Currently, the more common in the region, Pulsatilla patens has bloomed, the Pulsatilla pratensis will bloom a little later. In the pine forests of Polissia, where neither snowdrops, nor scillas, nor even cowslips and рepaticaі, it is the hairy sorrel flowers that are the real primroses that announce the arrival of spring," the report says.
The flowering of Pulsatilla attracts many ecotourists and photographers to the Mizhrichynskyi RLP every spring. You can see them during excursions along the forest eco-trails, which are conducted by Andrii Sahaidak. Excursions during this season should be booked in advance.
The nature center notes that the number of these plants is steadily decreasing. Therefore, all centers of their growth need to be preserved.
