Holiday stalls in the city center will sell only craft products from local producers, and they will also become a platform for helping the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

This year, for the first time since the start of the full-scale war, a traditional Christmas Market will operate on Lviv's Rynok Square. It will open on December 22, 2025 and will operate until January 4, 2026, the press service of the Lviv City Council reports.

It is noted that the fair will have a limited and discreet format. It will be significantly smaller than in the pre-war years. There will be a total of 20 trading houses, which will be located only on the northern side of Rynok Square.

"We are clearly aware of the public sensitivity to any festive events during wartime. Therefore, the Christmas fair in Lviv is not about mass festivities or celebrations, but about supporting small businesses, veteran enterprises and people for whom this is often the only opportunity to earn money in the winter," the Lviv City Council's Economic Development Department explained.

The fair will sell exclusively craft products from local producers, including farmers and veteran businesses. Only producers or authors of products will be allowed to participate, without intermediaries. Part of the funds collected during the fair will be directed to support the Ukrainian military. Charity collections will also be held at the locations.

The trade will continue daily from 11:00 to 22:00.

Цьогоріч на площі Ринок у Львові вперше від початку повномасштабної війни працюватиме традиційний Різдвяний ярмарок. Він відкриється 22 грудня 2025 року та діятиме до 4 січня 2026 року, повідомляє пресслужба Львівської міської ради. 

Зазначається, що ярмарок матиме обмежений і стриманий формат. Він буде значно меншим, ніж у довоєнні роки. Загалом буде 20 торгових будиночків, які розмістять лише з північного боку площі Ринок.

"Ми чітко усвідомлюємо суспільну чутливість до будь-яких святкових подій у час війни. Тому різдвяний ярмарок у Львові – це не про масові гуляння чи святкування, а про підтримку малого бізнесу, ветеранських підприємств і людей, для яких це часто є єдиною можливістю заробітку в зимовий період", – пояснили у департаменті економічного розвитку Львівської міської ради.

На ярмарку торгуватимуть виключно крафтовою продукцією від локальних виробників, зокрема фермерів і ветеранського бізнесу. До участі допустять лише виробників або авторів продукції, без посередників. Частину коштів, зібраних під час роботи ярмарку, спрямують на підтримку українських військових. Також на локації проводитимуть благодійні збори.

Торгівля триватиме щодня з 11:00 до 22:00.
