For the visually impaired, the museum has a mnemonic and guided tour materials in Braille, and an indoor portable ramp for wheelchair users.

The Dnipro History Museum became one of the best museums in Ukraine in terms of inclusivity after the accessibility project was implemented in it with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. This was reported by the press service of the Dnipro City Council.

According to the director of the institution, Oleksandra Biryukova, within the framework of the "Accessible Museum of the History of the Dnipro" project, the main attention was paid to visitors who have visual impairments.

"We made a mnemonic. With its help, people with visual impairments can navigate in the room. We also published a tour of our museum in braille (15 copies) and the first book on the history of the Dnipro in Ukraine, written in braille (50 copies). These publications are also available and in city libraries," Oleksandra Biryukova noted.

The institution's official website states that the museum has a barrier-free interior space with a portable ramp. The museum hosts tactile exhibitions for people with disabilities and special tours of tolerance and empathy for schoolchildren. Audio guides in Ukrainian and English are integrated into the MyMID museum application. The latest equipment of the museum with BLE-beacons allows to automatically change audio tracks and texts depending on the location of the guest in the museum exposition.

Since 2021, the Dnipro History Museum has been operating in the premises of the "Governor's House", which is an architectural monument of national importance.

Одним з найкращих в Україні музеїв в питанні інклюзивності став Музей історії Дніпра після реалізації в ньому проєкту доступності за підтримки Українського культурного фонду. Про це повідомляє пресслужба Дніпровської міської ради.

За словами директорки закладу Олександри Бірюкової, в межах проєкту "Доступний Музей історії Дніпра" основна увага була приділена відвідувачам, які мають порушення зору.

"Ми зробили мнемосхему. З  її допомогою люди з порушеннями зору можуть орієнтуватися в приміщенні. Також ми видали екскурсію нашим музеєм шрифтом Брайля (15 екземплярів) та першу в Україні книжку з історії Дніпра, написану шрифтом Брайля (50 екземплярів). Ці видання також доступні і в міських бібліотеках", – зазначила Олександра Бірюкова.

На офіційному сайті закладу зазначено, що музей має безбар'єрний внутрішній простір з портативним пандусом. В музеї проводять тактильні виставки для людей з інвалідністю та спеціальні екскурсії толерантності та емпатії для школярів. Аудіогіди українською та англійською мовами інтегровані в музейний додаток MyMID. Новітнє оснащення музею BLE-маячками дозволяє автоматично змінювати аудіотреки та тексти у залежності від розташування гостя у експозиції музею.

Музей історії Дніпра з 2021 року працює в приміщенні "Будинку губернатора", що є пам'яткою архітектури національного значення.
