A new tour route in the Lviv Region will tell about the history of the rebel movement

The patriotic tourist route "Heroes' Paths" with a length of more than 10 kilometers will be marked this year in the Zolochiv district of the Lviv region. Part of it will run through the territory of the Northern Podillia National Nature Park, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Lviv Regional Military Administration reports on its official Facebook page.

"This will be a historical and patriotic tourist route that will tell about the history of the insurgent movement. Here you will be able to see the nature of the Podilska Highlands and the low-mountain range of Voroniaky, inspect the found and restored kryivkas, the graves of the insurgents, and sources of drinking water," the message says.

The "Trails of Heroes" route began to be developed in the "Northern Podillia" NPP back in 2019, but it still remains unmarked. Along the route there are many different natural and man-made objects, in particular the Stations of the Cross in the village of Voroniaky, from the top of which there are picturesque views of the city of Zolochiv and its surroundings.

"Also on the route there are memorial signs at the places of death of local UPA soldiers who died in unequal battles with Enkavedists for the independence of Ukraine in the stormy war and post-war years, and the remains of the ruins of rebel kryivkas (hideouts). Among the natural objects that occur along the route - water sources, a pond, spacious meadows and neat forests in the southern outskirts of the village of Voroniaky, which are protected areas of the "Northern Podillia" NPP, the national park said.

The end point of the new tourist route is the Zheliasko tract, where the UPA Kryivka-Museum is located and large-scale religious services are held annually in honor of the fallen heroes of the village of Voroniaky.

Патріотичний туристичний маршрут "Стежками героїв" протяжністю в понад 10 кілометрів буде промарковано цього року на Золочівщині Львівської області. Частково він проляже територією Національного природного парку "Північне Поділля", повідомляє Управління туризму та курортів Львівської обласної військової адміністрації на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

"Це буде історично-патріотичний туристичний шлях, який розповідатиме про історію повстанського руху. Тут можна буде побачити природу Подільської височини та низькогірного пасма Вороняки, оглянути знайдені та відновлені криївки, могили повстанців та джерела питної води", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Маршрут "Стежками героїв" почали розробляти в НПП "Північне Поділля" ще у 2019 році, але досі він залишається непромаркованим. Вздовж маршруту є багато різноманітних природних та рукотворних об’єктів, зокрема Хресна дорога в селі Вороняки, з верхньої частини якої відкриваються мальовничі краєвиди міста Золочів та його околиць.

"Також на маршруті є пам’ятні знаки на місцях загибелі місцевих вояків УПА, які полягли в нерівних боях із енкаведистами за незалежність України у буремні воєнні та післявоєнні роки, та залишки руїн повстанських криївок. Серед природних об’єктів, що трапляються уздовж маршруту – водні джерела, ставок, просторі луки та охайні лісостани в південних околицях села Вороняки, які є заповідними ділянками НПП "Північне Поділля", – розповіли в нацпарку.

Кінцевим пунктом нового туристичного маршруту визначено урочище Желяско, де розташований Музей-криївка УПА і щорічно відбуваються велелюдні богослужіння на честь полеглих героїв села Вороняки.
