A giant composition of didukhs with a height of more than 7 meters was created by a wounded paratrooper commander with the help of a straw weaving craftswoman.

The national record of Ukraine "The largest trident of didukhs" will be officially registered on Monday on the territory of the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine. This was reported by the head of the National Register of Records of Ukraine, Lana Vetrova, on her Facebook page.

According to preliminary data, the composition of didukhs (symbolic sacrifice taken from the autumn harvest) created from ears of wheat is 7.5 meters high, but exact measurements will be made during the presentation.

"Such a giant was created by paratrooper Yaroslav Kuchma, commander of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who temporarily lost the ability to walk due to his injuries. Pelageya Zhivko, a 95-year-old straw-weaving master from Lviv region, helped him form the composition of didukhs," said Lana Vetrova.

It is worth noting that the largest didukh clock in Ukraine was installed in Ternopil in 2014. Its height reached 8 meters, and its weight exceeded 100 kilograms. About 9,000 ears of corn were used to make the record holder.

Національний рекорд України "Найбільший тризуб із дідухів" буде офіційно зареєстрований у понеділок на території Національного музею народної архітектури та побуту України. Про це повідомила керівниця Національного реєстру рекордів України Лана Вєтрова на власній сторінці у Facebook.

За попередніми даними, композиція з дідухів, створених із пшеничних колосків, має заввишки 7,5 метра, але точні заміри будуть зроблені під час презентації.

"Такого велетня створив десантник, командир відділення у 80-ї окремої десантно-штурмової бригади ДШВ ЗСУ Ярослав Кучма, який через поранення тимчасово втратив змогу ходити. Допомагала йому формувати композицію із дідухів 95-річна майстриня з соломоплетіння Пелагея Живко з Львівщини", – розповіла Лана Вєтрова.

Варто відзначити, що найбільший в Україні дідух був встановлений у Тернополі у 2014 році. Його висота сягала 8 метрів, а вага перевищувала 100 кілограмів. Для виготовлення рекордсмена використали близько 9000 колосків.
