Visitors to Mukachevo Castle will enjoy an evening costumed tour, guests of the Uzhgorod Open-Air Museum will be treated to Transcarpathian delicacies, and a light show will be demonstrated on the walls of the Uzhgorod Castle.

On Sunday, May 18, on the occasion of International Museum Day, a number of interesting events will take place in Uzhgorod, Mukachevo and other cities of Transcarpathia - master classes, exhibitions, lectures and concerts. Admission to museums on this day will be free, reports the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration.

In particular, the Uzhgorod Skansen invites you to a musical program by ethno singer Myroslava Kopynets and amateur folk ensembles of Transcarpathia, tasting of delicacies and master classes in pottery, wood carving, etc. At 4:00 PM, a thematic excursion will be held by senior research associate of the museum, Halyna Reitiy, "In the Twilight of the Old Village: Folk Demonology of Transcarpathia." The Mukachevo Historical Museum, operating in the Palanok Castle, offers costumed excursions, medieval cuisine, a screening of the animated film "Palanok Castle," lectures and master classes. Uzhgorod Castle invites you to exhibitions, vocal performances, as well as a rich evening program from 9:00 PM with medieval dances and a performance by Vasyl Polazhynets (the "Chalamada" band).
