"Kotsyubynskyi" bookstore-café invites you to Krapatian retreats

The themed bookstore-cafe "Kotsyubynskyi" was opened in the Verkhovyna hromada in the Ivano-Frankivsk region during the tenth anniversary literary festival "Writer's Bonfire over Cheremosh". This is reported by the administration of the institution on the official Instagram page.

The new tourist location on the banks of the Black Cheremosh River in the village of Verkhniy Yaseniv combines an art space, a theater studio, a bookstore, a reading room and a public catering establishment where you can order coffee and pastries. In the near future, it is also planned to open a museum of the Ukrainian writer Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi, who spent three consecutive summers – in 1910, 1911 and 1912 – in nearby Kryvorivna and collected material for the well-known novel "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors".

The bookstore was founded by the writer Anna Pavlichenko and her husband Vasyl Tomyshinets (Hutsul), who is currently serving in the Armed Forces.

"The primary goal was to create a new format of rest that would help soldiers recover from the war. Therefore, we stopped in the village of Verkhniy Yaseniv, where there is wonderful nature and a sense of security - cultural and artistic retreats will become a new format of rest and recovery, first of all, for defenders and their families (jointly with foundations and donors, this vacation will be free). By the way, the space will take into account inclusion," the founder said on her Facebook page.

As part of the opening of the "Kotsyubynskyi" bookstore, the literary event "Zhabie readings" was held in the institution, a theatrical performance in Hutsul dialect was arranged, and finally - the lighting of the "Writer's Bonfire" on the banks of Black Cheremosh. The participants of the event were treated to coffee and traditional delicacies.

Writers are invited to sell their books in the institution, organize exhibitions and hold creative meetings.

Тематична книгарня-кав'ярня "Коцюбинський" відкрилася у Верховинській громаді на Івано-Франківщині під час десятого ювілейного літературного фестивалю "Письменницька ватра над Черемошем". Про це повідомляє адміністрація закладу на офіційній сторінці в Instagram.

Нова туристична локація на березі річки Чорний Черемош в селі Верхній Ясенів поєднує в собі артпростір, театральну студію, книжкову крамницю, читальну залу та заклад громадського харчування, де можна замовити каву та випічку. У найближчій перспективі планується також відкриття музею українського письменника Михайла Коцюбинського, який три літа поспіль – у 1910, 1911 і 1912 роках – відпочивав у сусідній Криворівні і збирав матеріал для відомої повісті "Тіні забутих предків".

Книгарню заснували письменниця Анна Павліченко та її чоловік Василь Томишинець (Гуцул), який наразі служить у ЗСУ.

"Першочерговою метою було створити новий формат відпочинку, що допоміг би воїнам відновитися від війни. Тому ми зупинилися в селі Верхній Ясенів, де чудова природа і відчуття безпеки – культурно-мистецькі ретрити стануть новим форматом відпочинку і відновлення в першу чергу для захисників та їх сімей (спільними зусиллями з фондами і донорами цей відпочинок буде безплатний). До речі, простір враховуватиме інклюзію", – розповіла засновниця на своїй сторінці у Facebook.

У межах відкриття книгарні "Коцюбинський" у закладі відбулвся літературний захід "Жаб'євські читання", було влаштовано театральний перформенс на гуцульській говірці, а насамкінець – запалювання "Письменницької ватри" на березі Чорного Черемошу. Учасників заходу пригощали кавою і традиційними смаколиками.

Письменників запрошують реалізувати в закладі свої книжки, організувати виставки та провести творчі зустрічі.
