A building under a reed roof in the Trypillia style hides the remains of two large pottery kilns that were used by Trypillia people for mass production of their original ceramics.

A new exhibition pavilion with the remains of ancient pottery kilns was presented to visitors by the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Trypillia Culture" in the village of Lehedzyne in the Cherkasy region. This was reported by the press service of the Talne Urban Territorial Hromada.

"Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it houses authentic pottery kilns from the beginning of the 4th millennium BC, which is a real window into the technology and craftsmanship of our distant ancestors," the report says.

The ground-based pottery kilns presented in the pavilion were found by archaeologists about ten years ago during the excavations of the giant Trypillia settlement of Talianky. They are about six thousand years old and are among the oldest multi-channel kilns in the world of that time. They testify to the high technological level of Trypillia society, as they were used for the mass production of ceramic products - dishes, jewelry, and cult figurines.

"The Pottery Pavilion is not just a building, it is an important step in the preservation and popularization of the thousand-year history of Ukraine. It will become a new magnet for scientists, researchers, and tourists, contributing to a better understanding of our common heritage and its values," the Talne hromada believes.

It is noted that the opening ceremony was attended by the third President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, known for his many years of active position in the popularization of Trypillia culture and the preservation of Ukrainian identity.

"Those present had a unique opportunity not only to familiarize themselves with the exposition of the Museum of Trypillia Culture, which preserves rich artifacts, but also to directly visit the archaeological excavation site. This allowed guests to touch living history and see the process of archaeologists' work," the hromada's press service noted.

Excursions for those present at the opening were conducted by the director of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Trypillia Culture" Vladyslav Chabanyuk and the head of the Trypillia Archaeological Expedition of the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleksii Korvin-Piotrovsky.

Новий експозиційний павільйон із залишками давніх гончарних горнів представив відвідувачам Державний історико-культурний заповідник "Трипільська культура" у селі Легедзине на Черкащині. Про це повідомила пресслужба Тальнівської міської територіальної громади.

"Його особливість полягає в тому, що він музеєфікує автентичні гончарні горни початку IV тисячоліття до нашої ери, що є справжнім вікном у технології та майстерність наших далеких предків", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Представлені у павільйоні наземні гончарні печі були знайдені археологами близько десять років тому на розкопках трипільського поселення-гіганта Тальянки. Їм близько шести тисяч років і це одні з найдавніших багатоканальних горнів тогочасного світу. Вони свідчать про високий технологічний рівень трипільського суспільства, оскільки використовувалися для масового виробництва керамічних виробів – посуду, прикрас, культових статуеток.

"Гончарний павільйон – це не просто будівля, це важливий крок у збереженні та популяризації тисячолітньої історії України. Він стане новим магнітом для науковців, дослідників та туристів, сприяючи кращому розумінню нашої спільної спадщини та її цінності", – вважають у Тальнівській громади.

Зазначається, що в церемонії відкриття взяв участь третій Президент України Віктор Ющенко, відомий своєю багаторічною активною позицією у популяризації Трипільської культури та збереженні української ідентичності.

"Присутні мали унікальну нагоду не лише ознайомитися з експозицією Музею Трипільської культури, що зберігає багаті артефакти, але й безпосередньо відвідати місце археологічних розкопок. Це дозволило гостям доторкнутися до живої історії та побачити процес роботи археологів", – зазначили у пресслужбі громади.

Екскурсії для присутніх на відкритті провели директор Державного історико-культурного заповідника "Трипільська культура" Владислав Чабанюк та керівник Трипільської археологічної експедиції Інституту археології Національної академії наук України Олексій Корвін-Піотровський.
