Thanks to the work of enthusiasts and financial support from benefactors, the famous neo-Gothic architectural monument now looks majestic even in the dark.

In the village of Chervone in the Zhytomyr region, work has been completed on the internal lighting of the central tower of the Grocholski-Tereshchenko Palace. This was reported on Facebook by the public organization "Red Tourist", which is responsible for the preservation of the palace and the development of tourism in the community.

"Now all four floors are illuminated from the inside in the evening and at night, emphasizing the grandeur of this neo-Gothic building, because the rapid upward direction of the windows enhances this effect," the message says.

In addition, the activists of "Red Tourist" plan to purchase an LED lamp to equip the external lighting of the facade of the tower.

"Street lighting, in addition to the aesthetic appeal of our palace, is an important factor in ensuring the protection of this cultural heritage site, that is, it has a security aspect, which, in combination with the video surveillance system, provides a good overview of the site around the clock," the public organization emphasized.

As travels.in.ua reported, last year the historic estate of the Grocholski-Tereshchenko, which for a long time belonged to the convent of the Zhytomyr Eparchy of the UOC MP, officially returned to state ownership.

У селищі Червоне на Житомирщині завершили роботи з внутрішнього освітлення центральної вежі палацу Ґрохольських-Терещенків. Про це повідомила у Facebook громадська організація "Червоне туристичне", яка опікується збереженням палацу та розвитком туризму в громаді. 

"Тепер усі чотири поверхи ввечері та вночі освітлюються зсередини, підкреслюючи велич цієї неоготичної споруди, адже стрімке спрямування вікон угору посилює цей ефект", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Крім того, активісти "Червоного туристичного" планують придбати світлодіодну лампу для облаштування зовнішньої підсвітки фасаду вежі.

"Вуличне освітлення, окрім естетичної привабливості нашого палацу, є важливим фактором у забезпеченні охорони цього об'єкта культурної спадщини, тобто має безпековий аспект, що в поєднанні із системою відеоспостереження забезпечує гарний огляд об'єкта цілодобово", – наголосили в громадській організації.

Як повідомляв travels.in.ua, минулого року історичний маєток Ґрохольських-Терещенків, який протягом тривалого часу належав жіночому монастирю Житомирській єпархії УПЦ МП, офіційно повернувся у власність держави.
