The initiator of the museum exhibition turned her grandmother's cottage into a center for popularizing the traditions of the inhabitants of two distinctive ethnographic regions of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

A new museum dedicated to the culture of the Lemkos and Boykos was opened in the Carpathian village of Ripne, Ivano-Frankivsk region. This was announced on her Facebook page by the head of the cultural heritage sector of the Stryi District State Administration, Olha Bodnar.

"To mark the Day of Historical and Cultural Monuments, a new powerful space of strength, memory, and identity was born in the village of Ripne in the Ivano-Frankivsk region - the Museum of Lemkos-Boikos Heritage. The village blossomed with new meanings, because a new center of our identity was born here," emphasized Olha Bodnar.

The museum exposition is located in an old house that once belonged to Hanna Haradym, a Lemko woman who had been resettled from Poland, the grandmother of the initiator of the creation of the museum, Hanna Krysiuk.

"The museum was opened in Hanna Haradym's house as a tribute to her memory and significant contribution to the preservation of cultural heritage. The initiative to create it belongs to her family," said the initiator of the creation of the museum.

According to her, this unique cultural space is designed to preserve, interpret and popularize the traditions of two distinctive ethnographic regions of Ukraine.

During the grand opening of the museum, the "Apple Garden of Memory and Dreams" was planted as part of the global environmental initiative Greening of the Planet - in honor of Hanna Haradym, fallen Ukrainian defenders, missing persons, prisoners of war and prominent figures, in particular Ihor Bilozir - a Ukrainian singer, composer, People's Artist of Ukraine.

The opening of the museum was also timed to coincide with the IV gastronomic festival "Paliushkovi Festiny", during which a Ukrainian record was set for "The largest number of Lemko dumplings distributed within one cultural event" - 10,564 dumplings were distributed.

Новий музей, присвячений культурі лемків та бойків, відкрили у прикарпатському селі Ріпне Івано-Франківської області. Про це розповіла на власній сторінці у Facebook завідувачка сектору з питань культурної спадщини Стрийської райдержадміністрації Ольга Боднар.

"До Дня пам'яток історії та культури у селі Ріпне на Івано-Франківщині народився новий потужний простір сили, пам’яті та ідентичності – Музей лемківсько-бойківської спадщини. Село розквітло новими сенсами, бо тут народився новий осередок нашої ідентичності", – наголосила Ольга Боднар.

Музейна експозиція розмістилася в старовинній хаті, яка належала колись переселеній із Польщі лемкині Ганні Гарадим – бабусі ініціаторки створення музею Ганни Крисюк.

"Музей відкрито у будинку Ганни Гарадим як вшанування її пам’яті та вагомого внеску у збереження культурної спадщини. Ініціатива створення належить її родині", – розповіла ініціаторка створення музею.

За її словами, цей унікальний культурний простір покликаний зберігати, осмислювати та популяризувати традиції двох самобутніх етнографічних регіонів України.

Під час урочистого відкриття музею відбулося висадка "Яблуневого саду пам’яті і мрій" у межах глобальної екологічної ініціативи Greening of the Planet – на честь Ганни Гарадим, загиблих українських захисників і захисниць, зниклих безвісти, військовополонених та видатних постатей, зокрема Ігоря Білозіра – українського співака, композитора, Народного артиста України.

Також до відкриття музею приурочили IV гастрономічний фестиваль "Палюшкові фестини", в межах якого було зафіксовано рекорд України "Найбільша кількість розданих лемківських кльоцок в межах однієї культурної події" – було роздано 10 564 кльоцки.
