Other museums in Kyiv continue to operate thanks to alternative power sources, but are introducing certain restrictions and adjusting work schedules.

Long power outages and heat supply disruptions in the capital have made it impossible for the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" to continue operating. The administration of the reserve announced the temporary suspension of visitors on its official Facebook page.

"We would like to inform you that from January 23, 2026, the territory and exhibition facilities of the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" will be closed to visitors until the necessary heat supply parameters are restored in the network. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and thank you for your understanding," the message says.

The National Decorative Art Museum, located in the former metropolitan chambers and the Annunciation Church on the territory of the Lavra, has also been closed since January 14.

Other museums and reserves in the capital continue to operate, but some of them have introduced certain restrictions or made adjustments to their work schedules.

In particular, the History of Ukraine National Museum will in the coming days only accept visitors in the format of thematic excursions held within separate locations. Every hour you can join a separate excursion according to the schedule published on the museum's Facebook page.

The Kyiv History Museum has temporarily suspended the work of two of its branches - the Ukrainian Diaspora Museum and the Occupation of Kyiv Museum. The main exhibition is available even during power outages thanks to alternative power sources.

The National Art Museum of Ukraine is open for visitors three days a week: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00.

Тривалі відключення електрики та перебої з теплопостачанням у столиці унеможливили подальшу роботу Національного заповідника "Києво-Печерська лавра". Про тимчасове припинення прийому відвідувачів адміністрація заповідника повідомила на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

"Інформуємо вас, що з 23 січня 2026 року територія та експозиційні об’єкти Національного заповідника "Києво-Печерська лавра" будуть зачинені для відвідувачів до відновлення в мережі необхідних параметрів теплопостачання. Перепрошуємо за тимчасові незручності та дякуємо за розуміння", – йдеться у повідомленні.

З 14 січня також не працює Національний музей декоративного мистецтва України, розташований у приміщенні колишніх митрополичих покоїв та домової Благовіщенської церкви на території лаври.

Інші музеї та заповідники столиці продовжують працювати, але деякі з них запровадили певні обмеження або внесли корективи у графіки роботи.

Зокрема, Національний музей історії України найближчими днями прийматиме відвідувачів лише у форматі тематичних екскурсій, які проводяться в межах окремих локацій. Щогодини можна долучитися до окремої екскурсії згідно з графіком, оприлюдненим на Facebook-сторінці музею.

Музей історії Києва тимчасово призупинив роботу двох своїх філій – Музею української діаспори та Музею окупації Києва. Основна експозиція доступна навіть у часи відключення електрики завдяки альтернативним джерелам живлення.

Національний художній музей України працює для відвідувачів три дні на тиждень: п'ятниця, субота та неділя з 12:00 до 18:00.
