The activity of scientific and ecological and educational divisions of the park should contribute to the improvement of environmental information of the local population, to increase the educational level of local educational institutions in the field of nature conservation and environmental awareness of young people.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed the Law No. 9354 adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on the creation of the "Mezhyhirya" park-monument of horticultural art of national importance. This is evidenced by the card of the draft law on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The draft law refers to the territory of the scandalous government residence "Mezhyhirya" in the village of Novi Petrivtsi, Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region, which was previously used by fugitive former president Viktor Yanukovych. According to court decisions, the residence now belongs to the state represented by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. But since 2014, the object has an uncertain status, the territory is under the protection of public activists. Visiting them is allowed on a paid basis, the cost of an entrance ticket is 300 hryvnias.

"Today, excursions and mass recreation of the population are carried out on the territory of the government residence "Mezhyhirya", the funds for visits are not paid to the state budget, which is unacceptable in the conditions of martial law and a significant budget deficit," said the explanatory note to the draft law.

The document envisages the creation of the "Mezhyhirya" park-monument of horticultural art of national significance with a total area of 138.6 hectares. The creation of a special administration of the park is envisaged in the sphere of management of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchinov assured that the change of residence status will not prevent Ukrainians from visiting "Mezhyhirya" for recreation.

У законопроєкті йдеться про територію скандальної урядової резиденції "Межигір'я", що в селі Нові Петрівці Вишгородського району Київської області, якою раніше користувався колишній президент-утікач Віктор Янукович. Згідно з рішеннями судів, зараз резиденція належать державі в особі Кабінету міністрів України. Але з 2014 року об'єкт має невизначений статус, територія перебуває під охороною громадських активістів. Відвідування дозволяється ними на платній основі, вартість вхідного квитка становить 300 гривень.

"На сьогодні на території урядової резиденції "Межигір'я" здійснюється проведення екскурсій та масовий відпочинок населення, кошти за відвідування не сплачуються до державного бюджету, що в умовах військового стану та значного бюджетного дефіциту є неприпустимим", – сказано в пояснювальній записці до законопроєкту.

Документом передбачено створення парка-пам'ятки садово-паркового мистецтва загальнодержавного значення "Межигір'я" загальною площею 138,6 га. Утворення спеціальної адміністрації парку передбачається у сфері управління Міністерства захисту довкілля та природних ресурсів України.

Раніше міністр Кабінету міністрів Олег Немчінов запевнив, що зміна статусу резиденції не завадить українцям відвідувати "Межигір'я" для відпочинку.
