The restorers have already put scaffolding around the ancient Darahan stone house, and the main manor house from Cossack times will begin to be restored after the project documentation is approved.
The restoration of the abandoned historical Pokorshchyna estate from Cossack times has begun in the town of Kozelets in Chernihiv region. This was reported by the People's Deputy and public figure Hanna Bondar on her Facebook page.
"Currently, rescue work is underway on the manor house, scientific and design documentation for the restoration of the main manor house is being developed, scientific and design documentation for the manor house has been approved," the People's Deputy said, noting that the restorers have an official permit to carry out the work.
At the same time, the deputy is trying to draw attention to the need for the restoration of this unique monument - the oldest manor house on the Left Bank of Ukraine, which at different times belonged to the Rozumovsky, Darahan and Halahan families.
"In recent weeks, I have presented our joint work at the UREHERIT Conference, dedicated to the issue of financing measures for the protection of cultural heritage, organized by the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, as well as at the Restoration Summit in Chernihiv Region," the deputy noted.
According to her, the restoration is being implemented thanks to Akim Halimov's project "Real History", the Blyskavka Foundation, UTOPIK, NSAU, UNESCO, the Foundation "Dare to Restore", the Kozeletska Village Council, the Chernihiv OVA, as well as the tireless work of architect-restorers Serhiy Yurchenko and Ivan Bykov.
The Pokorshchyna estate in Kozelets is a unique monument of history and architecture of the 18th century. The prominent Cossack families of the Razumovskys and Daragans are associated with it. The complex consists of the main estate house, a brick tenement house and another wooden building, which has been partially preserved.
As reported by travels.in.ua, in August a volunteer gathering was held in Kozelets on the territory of the Pokorshchyna estate, initiated by journalist and volunteer Akim Halimov.
