The participants of the first field trip cleaned the house and the territory, cut down the surrounding bushes and carried out partial conservation of the historical building.
On August 31, the field volunteer tour took place on the territory of the Pokorshchyna estate in Kozelets, which has been in a state of emergency for a long time. This was announced on Facebook by the initiator of the event, journalist and volunteer Akim Galimov.
"We have finally started the restoration of Pokorshchyna, a unique Cossack estate in Kozelets. I am incredibly happy and grateful to everyone who participated and to everyone who will contribute to the preservation of our heritage," the journalist wrote.
The Pokorshchyna estate in Kozelets is a unique monument of history and architecture of the 18th century. The prominent Cossack families of Razumovsky and Daragan are related to her. The complex consists of the main manor house, a brick tenement house and another wooden building that has been partially preserved.
During the toloka, volunteers from Kyiv, Chernihiv, and other cities cleaned the main house, tenement house, and surrounding area, cut down bushes, and closed doors and windows. Next, the initiators of saving the manor plan to carry out emergency work, for which three million hryvnias will be collected.
"The state of the main building is critical in almost all parameters. But it is still subject to restoration. It can still be saved as long as the roof is holding, as long as the foundations are holding," architect Ivan Bykov told "Suspilne".
According to the architect, first you need to preserve the estate in order to save the building. And then, if funding is available, begin the restoration. The initiators of the restoration of the monument are already working on ideas on how to use it in the future.
