In winter, mountain tourism instructors recommend using the "blue" route to the highest mountain in Ukraine, since the "green" one is too dangerous.

Activists of the "Volunteer Journeys" community, together with mountain rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ivano-Frankivsk region, installed winter markings on the route from the "Zarosliak" training and sports center to the top of Hoverla Mountain. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the community.

"The upper part of the blue route from Hoverla (above the stone tower at an altitude of 1,800 meters) to the very top is marked with winter orientation posts. There is little snow below, the trail is readable on the stones," the message says.

It is worth noting that there are many tourist routes on Hoverla. The two most popular of them start from the Zaroslyak sports base in the Vorokhta district: the longer one with green markings (4.3 kilometers) and the shorter one with blue markings (3.7 kilometers).

"We emphasize that the green route is dangerous in winter, and it is worth moving to the top and back using the blue route," the volunteers write.

As travels.in.ua reported, last year, volunteers, together with rescuers, also marked the most popular tourist route to Mount Hoverla from the "Zarosliak" base.

Активісти спільноти "Волонтерські мандри" спільно з гірськими рятувальниками ДСНС Івано-Франківської області встановили зимове маркування на маршруті від навчально-спортивної "Заросляк" до вершини гори Говерла. Про це повідомили на офіційній сторінці спільноти у Facebook. 

"Зимовими орієнтувальними стовпчиками маркована верхня частина синього маршруту від Говерляни (вище кам'яного тура на висоті 1800 метрів) до самої вершини. Нижче снігу мало, стежка читається по камінню", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Варто відзначити, що на Говерлу існує багато туристичних маршрутів. Два найпопулярніші з них починаються від спортивної бази "Заросляк" в районі Ворохти: довший із зеленим маркуванням (4,3 кілометра) і коротший із синім маркуванням (3,7 кілометра).

"Наголошуємо, що зелений маршрут в зимовий період небезпечний, і варто рухатись до вершини та назад саме синім маршрутом", – пишуть волонтери.

Як повідомляв travels.in.ua, торік волонтери спільно з рятувальниками також маркували найпопулярніший туристичний маршруту на гору Говерла від бази "Заросляк".
