A modest exposition introduces historical events and outstanding personalities who played a role in the development of the Volyn village, which in ancient times had the status of a city.

A village museum was opened in the ancient Volyn village of Kysylyn of the Zaturtsiv community. The presentation took place on the eve of the 574th anniversary of the earliest mention of the village of Kysylyn, reports the publication "Raion.Lokachi".

It should be noted that the founder of the museum is Vasyl Shakhrayuk, a resident of Novovolynsk. His grandparents once lived in Kysylin. The man wanted to create a place where the historical and cultural memory of the once famous town would be preserved.

"The idea of this museum is not to create a warehouse for things, but to create a place where people can meet and exchange information," said genealogist Artur Alyoshin, who will be engaged in researching the history of the village and filling the museum.

The initial exhibition consists of a series of posters that tell about the first mentions of the village in documents, Kysylyn's acquisition of city status, the coat of arms of Olizar Kirdey Milsky, the creation of the village's first volunteer fire department, etc. A historical map of the region is also presented.

"The idea of our museum is to convey history with names. Bad and good. So that people know that this history is alive and that they see how they are connected with it," Artur Alyoshin explained.

At the opening, it was possible to get acquainted with old photographs of the inhabitants of Kysylyn in the period 1914-1918. The organizers also presented documents about the village collected from various archives.

Once a month, the museum plans to hold thematic lectures about different periods of the history of Kysilyn and its inhabitants.

The book "Essays on the history of the town-village of Kysilyn" by Vasyl Sokol was presented at the opening ceremony. In the book, the author described the history of the town from ancient times to the beginning of the 2000s.

У старовинному волинському селі Кисилин Затурцівської громади відкрили сільський музей. Презентація відбулася напередодні 574-ї річниці найдавнішої згадки про село Кисилин, повідомляє видання "Район.Локачі".

Зазначаєьбся, що фундатором музею є мешканець Нововолинська Василь Шахраюк. У Кисилині колись жили його бабуся та дідусь. Чоловік хотів створити місце, де буде зберігатися історична та культурна памʼять колись відомого містечка.

"Ідея цього музею полягає не в створенні складу для речей, а у створенні місця, де люди зможуть зустрічатися та обмінюватись інформацією", – розповів генеалог Артур Альошин, що займатиметься дослідженням історії села та наповненням музею.

Початкова експозиція складається з серії плакатів, які розповідають про перші згадки про село у документах, отримання Кисилином статусу міста, гербову печатку Олізара Кірдея Мильського, створення першої добровільної пожежної охорони села тощо. Також представлена історична мапа регіону.

"Задум нашого музею – передавати історію іменами. Погану та хорошу. Щоб люди знали, що ця історія жива та щоб бачили, як вони з нею повʼязані", – пояснив Артур Альошин.

На відкритті можна було ознайомитись зі старими фотографіями жителів Кисилина у період 1914-1918 років. Організатори також представили документи про село, зібрані з різних архівів. 

Раз на місяць у музеї планують проводити тематичні лекції про різні періоди історії Кисилина та його жителів.

На урочистому відкритті відбулася презентація книги "Нариси історії містечка-села Кисилин" Василя Сокола. У книзі автор описав історію містечка від найдавніших часів і до початку 2000-х років.
