After the activist's hunger strike, a working group of the Ministry of Culture, together with people's deputies and representatives of the city government, inspected the archaeological excavation site in Podil in Kyiv and decided to act together with the public.

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications (MCSC) is intensifying its activities to create a museum institution on the site of the archaeological monument of national importance "Site of the Coastal City Quarter of Medieval Kyiv". This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Mykola Tochytskyi following the results of an off-site meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.

"Together with people's deputies, representatives of the Kyiv City State Administration and public activists, we inspected the archaeological monument of national importance - "The Site of the Coastal City Quarter of Medieval Kyiv", as well as the monument of national importance "Post Office". This is a unique part of our heritage. Perhaps it was here that the Baptism of Rus took place. We must do everything possible to ensure that this territory is not only preserved, but also developed as a cultural space," the minister wrote on Facebook.

According to the minister, the next meeting of the working group is scheduled for June 18. Representatives of the "Museum on Poshtova Square", the Kyiv City State Administration and the Committee for Humanitarian and Information Policy have been invited to it. All parties agreed on an open dialogue and consolidation of the legal status of the museum at the excavation site.

The day before, a conflict broke out between the Kyiv Scientific and Methodological Center for the Protection, Restoration and Use of Historical, Cultural and Protected Areas Monuments and representatives of the public organization "Museum of One Nation on Poshtova Square", which has been taking care of the monument for many years and conducting excursions to the excavation site in Podil in Kyiv. After that, the co-founder of the museum, Olga Rutkovska, went on a hunger strike and was hospitalized on the 15th day of the action.

Міністерство культури та стратегічних комунікацій (МКСК) активізує діяльність щодо створення музейної установи на місці археологічної пам’ятки національного значення "Ділянка прибережного міського кварталу середньовічного Києва". Про це повідомив міністр культури та стратегічних комунікацій Микола Точицький за підсумками виїзного засідання Комітету Верховної Ради України з питань гуманітарної та інформаційної політики.

"Разом з народними депутатами, представниками КМДА та громадськими активістами ми оглянули археологічну пам’ятку національного значення – "Ділянку прибережного міського кварталу середньовічного Києва", а також пам'ятку національного значення "Поштова станція". Це унікальна частина нашої спадщини. Можливо, саме тут відбувалося Хрещення Русі. Ми маємо зробити все можливе, щоб ця територія була не лише збережена, а й розвивалася як культурний простір", – написав Точицький у Facebook.

За словами міністра, наступне засідання робочої групи заплановане на 18 червня. На неї запрошені представники "Музею на Поштовій площі", Київської міської державної адміністрації та Комітету гуманітарної та інформаційної політики. Всі сторони дійшли згоди щодо відкритого діалогу й закріплення законного статусу музею на місці розкопок.

Напередодні стався конфлікт між Київським науково-методичним центром по охороні, реставрації та використання пам’яток історії, культури і заповідних територій та представниками громадської організації "Музей однієї нації на Поштовій площі", яка вже багато років опікується пам'яткою та проводить екскурсії на місці розкопок на Подолі у Києві. Після цього співзасновниця музею Ольга Рутковська оголосила голодування і на 15-й день акції потрапила до лікарні.
