The Odesa Cossacks Museum was damaged by the Russian attack

During the Russian drone attack on Odesa on the night of February 10, the premises of the Ukrainian Cossacks Development History Museum were damaged. This was reported by the director of the institution, Serhiy Shpak.

"After the night attack of the Shaheds in our Ukrainian Cossacks Development History Museum, part of the ceiling in the central hall fell, and the remaining one was dangerously overhanging. The functioning of the museum's unique collection is at risk. Urgent repair is necessary," Shpak wrote on his Facebook page.

Museum employees have already dismantled the exposition and started dismantling the emergency ceiling. According to their estimates, the cost of repairs will be about 40,000 hryvnias. The director calls on those who care to help the museum, because the institution is public and exists thanks to donations.

Під час російського удару дронами по Одесі в ніч проти 10 лютого зазнало пошкоджень приміщення Музею історії розвитку українського козацтва. Про це повідомив директор установи Сергій Шпак.

"Після нічної атаки шахедів у нас в Музеї історії розвитку українського козацтва в центральній залі впала частина стелі, а та що залишилась – аварійно нависла. Під загрозою функціонування унікальної колекції музею. Необхідний терміновий ремонт", – написав Шпак на своїй сторінці у Facebook.

Співробітники музею вже демонтували експозицію та розпочали роботи з демонтажу аварійної стелі. За їхніми оцінками, вартість ремонту складе близько 40 000 гривень. Директор закликає небайдужих допомогти музею, адже установа є громадською та існує завдяки пожертвам.
