The park administration has decided to introduce an entrance fee of 100 hryvnias for the entire tulip blooming period, but it will be charged only on weekends.
The traditional tulip festival will begin on April 19 at the Kropyvnytskyi City Arboretum. It is at this time that three million tulips of different varieties will begin to bloom in the park, the institution's administration announced on its official Instagram page.
"Bright colors, atmospheric alleys and the most Instagrammable locations this spring - all this awaits you in the heart of Kropyvnytskyi," the arboretum promises.
According to local media, this season the arboretum has prepared flower arrangements based on the themes of different countries of the world. In particular, Japan will be represented by a flower arrangement in the form of a fish, France - by wings, Great Britain - by roses, and the USA - by a sports theme.
On the opening day of the Tulip Festival, a live concert by the popular singer Ruslana will take place in the Kropyvnytskyi Arboretum. The cost of a ticket for the concert is 400 hryvnias. The start is at 19:00.
At the same time, the administration announced that during the entire tulip flowering period, entrance to the arboretum on weekends will be paid. The cost of the ticket will be 100 hryvnias. Admission will remain free for children under 6 years old, pensioners and combatants (with documents).
At the same time, the press service of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council stated that they consider the introduction of an entrance fee illegal and called for the lifting of restrictions on access to the park.
