Work on the reconstruction of the complex began even before the start of a full-scale war and did not stop even during massive rocket attacks and regular power outages.

The renovated central entrance was opened at the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine in Pirohiv on the outskirts of Kyiv after a two-year reconstruction. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

As noted in the message, the new entrance was designed taking into account the landscape features of the museum and the tourist requests of visitors from Ukraine and the world.

"The current museum central entrance is a kind of ethnoportal that transports the visitor from the modern, technological, urban world to the ancient Ukrainian villages of the 17th-20th centuries with their history, architecture, daily life, worldview and tradition. This is a place for a comfortable rest, obtaining high-quality comprehensive information about the museum, its history, activities and available services (excursions, workshops, educational lectures, holidays, etc.)," the press service quotes the general director of the museum, Oksana Poviakel.

The renovated entrance group of the museum is made of wood (pine, spruce, oak), metal and concrete.

"Graphite color was chosen in combination with natural wood - so that the whole composition would become an organic part of the museum. At the entrance, the territory was also arranged, an observation deck was made and part of the fence was repaired," the ministry said.

The reconstruction of the entrance group of the museum was the first stage of the implementation of the large-scale state program "Magnets of Ukraine", announced in 2020. The work began in 2021 and continued during the large-scale Russian aggression, despite regular missile attacks on Kyiv and periodic power outages.
