Starting today, May 1, the Great Lavra bell tower of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra will be open to visitors for the first time since the full-scale war of the Russian Federation. This is reported on the website of the National Reserve.

"The Great Lavra Bell Tower is one of the visual symbols of Kyiv. The bell tower offers a majestic view of the picturesque Dnipro River. In the 19th century, travelers testified that in clear weather, from the top tier of the Lavra Bell Tower, you can see Kozelets, Pereyaslav, Vasylkiv and the surrounding area in the distance at least 150 kilometers," the press service said.

You can climb to the bell tower after overcoming more than 200 steps, and enjoy a wonderful panorama of Kyiv from a bird's-eye view (60 m). During an air raid, visitors can descend into the shelter located on the first floor of the bell tower.

The bell tower will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day.

"Велика лаврська дзвіниця – один з візуальних символів Києва. З дзвіниці відкривається величний краєвид на мальовничий Дніпро. У ХІХ ст. мандрівники свідчили, що за ясної погоди з далекоглядної труби можна бачити з верхнього ярусу лаврської дзвіниці Козелець, Переяслав, Васильків й околиці на відстані щонайменше 150 кілометрів", – розповідають у пресслужбі.

На дзвіницю можна піднятися, подолавши понад 200 сходинок, та з висоти пташиного польоту (60 метрів) насолодитися чудовою панорамою Києва. Під час повітряної тривоги відвідувачі можуть спуститися в укриття, розташоване на першому поверсі дзвіниці.

Працюватиме дзвіниця з 10:00 до 18:00 щодня.
