A historical exhibition in the basement of the shopping arcades allows you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient city with the help of modern multimedia technologies.

A new tourist location "Dungeons of the Old Market" was presented in Slavuta in the Khmelnytskyi region on the eve of the 408th anniversary of the city's founding. It was arranged in the ancient shopping arcades, which are a monument of national architectural significance and date back to the 18th century, reports the "Shepetivka City Site".

"Employees of the Slavuta Historical Museum have transformed the underground premises into a real historical space. Here, visitors can see stylized shops filled with goods and products that Slavuta residents once traded. The exhibition is complemented by archival photos, documents and museum items that recreate the atmosphere of ancient eras," the message says.

It is noted that an important component of the project was modern technologies. With the help of artificial intelligence, old photographs were "revived" in the form of videos that allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient city. Local historian Valerii Napytkin also presented a test 3D model of historical shopping arcades. According to him, all buildings have been drawn in detail and transferred to the museum for further use for educational purposes.

You can visit the "Old Market Dungeons" only by prior appointment for an excursion by submitting an application to the city's historical museum.

During the presentation, the participants also discussed the prospects for studying underground passages that are likely to have survived under the city.

Нову туристичну локацію "Підземелля Старого ринку" презентували в Славуті на Хмельниччині напередодні 408-ї річниці з дня заснування міста. Її облаштували у старовинних торгових рядах, які є пам’яткою архітектури національного значення та датуються XVIII століттям, повідомляє "Сайт міста Шепетівка".

"Працівники Славутського історичного музею перетворили підземні приміщення на справжній історичний простір. Тут відвідувачі можуть побачити стилізовані крамниці, наповнені товарами та продуктами, якими колись торгували славутчани. Експозицію доповнюють архівні фото, документи та музейні предмети, що відтворюють атмосферу давніх епох", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Зазначається, що важливою складовою проєкту стали сучасні технології. За допомогою штучного інтелекту старі фотографії "ожили" у вигляді відеороликів, які дозволяють зануритися в атмосферу старовинного міста. Також краєзнавець Валерій Напиткін презентував тестову 3D-модель історичних торгових рядів. За його словами, усі будівлі промальовані до деталей і передані музею для подальшого використання в освітніх цілях.

Відвідати "Підземелля Старого ринку" можна лише за попереднім записом на екскурсію, подавши заявку до історичного музею міста.

Під час презентації учасники також обговорили перспективи дослідження підземних ходів, які ймовірно збереглися під містом.
