Visiting Kosachs: Lesya Ukrainka Museum to hold a theatrical tour

The Museum of Outstanding Figures of Ukrainian Culture in Kyiv will hold a theatrical tour "Visiting Kosachs" on February 21. It will take place in the Lesya Ukrainka Memorial House, the museum's administration reports on its official Facebook page.

The guide for visitors to the memorial house on this day will be a tour guide in the guise of the writer Lesya Ukrainka herself, who lived in Kyiv at different times, between 1890 and 1910.

"Lesya Ukrainka invites you to visit! Just imagine: she meets you on the threshold, takes you through the rooms of the memorial house and tells you how they lived, worked here, what they talked about and what they read. Then she offers to drink tea and, of course, talk about literature. In her hands is "Pershyi Vinok" - a women's almanac, which became a real challenge for its time," the message says.

The scenario of the excursion includes, in particular, quoting excerpts from the almanac and a story about when and how it arose, why it was important for Ukrainian society and what it reflects today.

It is noted that the excursion "Visiting Kosachs" is intended primarily for an adult audience, but may also be interesting to high school students. The cost of participation is 350 hryvnias per person.

The museum administration emphasizes that the group for the first excursion on February 21 has already been formed, there are no free places. But the museum staff promise to hold similar theatrical programs once a month. Those who wish to order an individual excursion are invited to contact the administration directly.

Музей видатних діячів української культури у Києві 21 лютого проведе театралізовану екскурсію "В гості до Косачів". Вона відбудеться в приміщенні Меморіального будинку Лесі Українки, повідомляє адміністрація музею на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

Гідом для відвідувачів меморіального будинку в цей день буде екскурсоводка в образі самої письменниці Лесі Українки, яка мешкала у Києві в різні часи, у проміжку від 1890 до 1910 року. 

"Леся Українка запрошує в гості! Лише уявіть: вона зустрічає вас на порозі, проводить кімнатами меморіального будинку і розповідає, як тут жили, працювали, про що спілкувалися й що читали. Далі – пропонує випити чаю і, звісно ж, поговорити про літературу. У її руках "Перший вінок" – жіночий альманах, який став справжнім викликом для свого часу", – йдеться у повідомленні. 

Сценарій екскурсії передбачає, зокрема, цитування уривків з альманаху та оповідки про те, коли і як він виник, чому був важливим для українського суспільства і що в ньому відгукується сьогодні.

Зазначається, що екскурсія "В гості до Косачів" розрахована насамперед на дорослу аудиторію, але також може бути цікавою учням старшої школи. Вартість участі становить 350 гривень з особи.

Адміністрація музею наголошує, що група для першої екскурсії на 21 лютого вже сформована, вільних місць немає. Але музейники обіцяють проводити аналогічні театралізовані програми раз на місяць. Тим, хто бажає замовити індивідуальну екскурсію, пропонують звертатися безпосередньо в адміністрацію.
