Fragments of the monument in honor of the Pereyaslav Council will be kept in the Antonov State Aviation Museum of Ukraine.

The city communal services of Kyiv began dismantling the composition in honor of the Pereyaslav Council under the former Arch of Friendship of Peoples in Khreshchaty Park, which was renamed the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People. This was reported by the KMDA press service.

"Dismantling may take several days, as the structure is quite massive. It consists of approximately 20 elements weighing about 6,000-7,000 kilograms," the report said.

It is reported that specialists previously studied the structure in order to preserve its integrity and not damage it during dismantling.

In the future, the dismantled monument will be kept in the Oleh Antonov State Aviation Museum of Ukraine.

Міські комунальні служби Києва розпочали демонтаж композиції на честь Переяславської ради під колишньою Аркою дружби народів у Хрещатому парку, яка перейменована на Арку свободи українського народу. Про це повідомляє пресслужба КМДА.

"Демонтаж може зайняти кілька днів, оскільки конструкція доволі масивна. Вона складається з приблизно 20 елементів, що важать близько 6000–7000 кілограмів", – сказано у повідомленні.

Повідомляється, що попередньо фахівці провели вивчення конструкції, щоб зберегти її цілісність та не пошкодити  під час демонтажу.

Надалі демонтований монумент зберігатиметься в Державному музеї авіації України імені Олега Антонова.
