A museum of Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Patyk was opened in Lviv

The museum of the outstanding Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Patyk was opened in the ancient Pininski villa in the center of Lviv, at Yana Mateyka Street, 4, next to Ivan Franko Park. The implementation of this project lasted one and a half years, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi reported on Facebook.

In his post, the chairman thanked everyone involved, in particular the artist's wife, Mrs. Romi, who preserved and donated about a hundred of her husband's works to the museum, each of which has a special artistic value.

"These are works about Ukraine, its nature, about the people he met on his way, about funny and instructive stories that happened to him. The life-affirming colors Patyk saw life in deserve special attention," Kozytsky emphasized.

According to the head of RMA, the well-known Lviv art critic and gallerist Pavlo Gudimov helped to develop the modern and extraordinary concept of the museum, based on the experience of the most famous museums in Europe. To create the museum, funds from patrons were attracted, as well as resources obtained from the sale of paintings by various artists at special auctions.

"When I look at his images of the sea, it seems to me that I am swaying in a boat on the waves, when I look at his forests, it is as if I inhale the aroma of fresh needles, when I see him through the eyes of Lviv, it is as if I myself are transported in time and walking somewhere in our wonderful the regional center in the 70s of the last century... I want these paintings to come alive for everyone who comes here, as they did for me. And at the same time, Volodymyr Patyk lives in our hearts," said Kozytskyi.

Currently, the exhibition includes about a hundred paintings by Volodymyr Patyk. They are located in four halls. Exposure will be variable.

Музей видатного українського художника Володимира Патика відкрився у старовинній віллі Пінінського в центрі Львова, на вулиці Яна Матейка, 4, поруч із парком імені Івана Франка. Реалізація цього проєкту тривала півтора роки, повідомив у Facebook голова Львівської обласної військової адміністрації Максим Козицький.

У своєму дописі голова подякував усім причетним, зокрема дружині художника, пані Ромі, яка зберегла та передала музеєві близько сотні творів свого чоловіка, кожен з яких має особливу мистецьку цінність. 

"Це твори про Україну, її природу, про людей, яких він зустрічав на своєму шляху, про веселі і повчальні історії, які з ним траплялися. Особливої уваги заслуговує те, у яких життєствердних кольорах Патик бачив життя", – наголосив Козицький.

За словами голови ОВА, сучасну та неординарну концепцію музею допоміг розробити відомий львівський мистецтвознавець і галерист Павло Гудімов, спираючись на досвід найвідоміших музеїв Європи. Для створення музею залучили кошти меценатів, а також ресурси, виручені з продажу картин різних художників на спеціальних аукціонах.

"Коли дивлюся на його зображення моря, мені здається, що я гойдаюся у човні на хвилях, коли дивлюся на його ліси, то наче вдихаю аромат свіжої хвої, коли бачу його очима Львів, то мов сам переношуся у часі і гуляю десь у нашому чудовому обласному центрі у 70-роках минулого століття... Хочу, щоб для кожного, хто сюди приходить, ці картини оживали так, як для мене. А разом з тим, щоб у наших серцях жив Володимир Патик", – зазначив Козицький.

Наразі експозиція налічує близько ста картин Володимира Патика. Вони розміщені в чотирьох залах. Експозиція буде змінною.
