The festival in Kolodiazhne will show the research performance "Pchilka"

On June 29, on the birthday of writer Olena Pchilka, the annual festival "Summer in the Kosach Manor" will be held in the village of Kolodiazhne in Volyn. Its culmination will be a performance of the play "Pchilka" by the Harmyder Theater, the administration of the Lesya Ukrainka Literary and Memorial Museum reported on its official Facebook page.

This year's fifth festival will be an anniversary one. It will open at 11:00 with the ethnographic exhibition project "Meeting in Time".

"The exhibition will feature valuable exhibits from the funds of the Kolodyazhnensky Literary and Memorial Museum of Lesya Ukrainka: "Mykhailo Kryvyniuk's Shirt", "Varvara Yosypivna Dmytruk's Shirt, Donated by Lesya Ukrainka", shirts from the late 19th - early 20th centuries," the report says.

The exhibition will be complemented by a collection of clothes sewn according to patterns collected by Olena Pchilka, from the funds of the Volyn Museum of Local Lore, manufactured by PJSC "Edelvika", as well as modern embroidered clothes of the same brand.

The presentation of the first ever "Collected Works of Olena Pchilka" in 12 volumes is scheduled for 12:00.

"This unique publishing project includes poetry, prose, drama, literary criticism, journalism, folklore, ethnography, artistic translations, memoirs and epistolary works of Olga Petrovna Drahomanova-Kosach. The publication is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of Olena Pchilka and was prepared on the initiative and efforts of the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University," the organizers said.

At 1:00 p.m., guests will be invited to the event "At the Kosachs' Dinner Table" - the museum staff will treat them to borscht according to the recipe used by the family.

The culmination of the holiday will be the research performance "Pchilka" by the Harmyder Theater, which will be shown twice - at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

"These are brief moments from the life of a woman we know mostly as a children's writer and the mother of Lesya Ukrainka. Meanwhile, Olena Pchilka is a powerful phenomenon in Ukrainian culture: six children, education, editorial work... And also - beauty, special charisma up to a respectable age, love, loss, doubts. And Ukrainian: her forever choice, struggle and prayer," the organizers say.

The cost of tickets for the performance is 250 hryvnias.

29 червня, у день народження письменниці Олени Пчілки, у селі Колодяжному на Волині відбудеться щорічний фестиваль "Літо в садибі Косачів". Його кульмінацією стане показ вистави "Пчілка" від театру "Гармидер", повідомила адміністрація Літературно-меморіального музею Лесі Українки на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

Цьогорічний п'ятий фестиваль стане ювілейним. Він відкриється об 11:00 етнографічним виставковим проєктом "Зустріч у часі".

"На виставці буде представлено цінні експонати із фондів Колодяжненського літературно-меморіального музею Лесі Українки: "Сорочка Михайла Кривинюка", "Сорочка Варвари Йосипівни Дмитрук, подарована Лесею Українкою", сорочки кінця ХІХ – початку ХХ століття", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Доповнить виставку колекція одягу, відшитого за зразками узорів зібраних Оленою Пчілкою, із фондів Волинського краєзнавчого музею, виготовлених ПРАТ "Едельвіка", а також сучасний вишитий одяг цього ж бренду.

На 12:00 запланована презентація першого в історії "Зібрання творів Олени Пчілки" в 12 томах. 

"Цей унікальний видавничий проєкт умістив у себе поезію, прозу, драматургію, літературну критику, публіцистику, фольклористику, етнографію, художні переклади, мемуаристику та епістолярій Ольги  Петрівни Драгоманової-Косач. Присвячене видання 175-річчю від дня народження Олени Пчілки та було підготовлено за ініціативи та зусиллями Волинського національного університету імені Лесі Українки", – розповіли організатори.

О 13:00 гостей запросять на захід "За обіднім столом у Косачів" – колектив музею пригощатиме борщем за рецептом, яким користувалася родина.

Кульмінацією свята стане вистава-дослідження "Пчілка" від театру "Гармидер", показ якої відбудеться двічі – о 14:00 та 16:00.

"Це короткі миті з життя жінки, про яку ми знаємо здебільшого як про дитячу письменницю і матір Лесі Українки. А Олена Пчілка тим часом – явище в українській культурі надпотужне: шестеро дітей, освіта, редакторська робота… А ще – краса, особлива аж до поважного віку харизма, любов, втрати, сумніви. І українське: її назавжди вибір, боротьба і молитва", – кажуть організатори.

Вартість квитків на виставу – 250 гривень.
