In a private skansen in the Rivne region, you can live in the atmosphere of antiquity

A private open-air museum "Verkhivska Sadyba" is being created in the village of Verkhiv between Rivne and Ostroh by a local couple, the Korchaks. Here you can live, immersed in the atmosphere of centuries-old Volyn antiquity, said on his Facebook page the Rivne scout and priest Vitalii Porovchuk, who has already visited the estate-museum.

"Plast friends from Rivne - doctors Ihor and Lyudmyla Korchak - are reconstructing a Ukrainian rural farmstead built in the 1920s-1930s by Sydor Zabiyaka - a Ukrainian, enterprising and creative person, whose farm was not inferior to the rich and advanced farms of the Volyn Czechs of that time and retained its Ukrainian features in everyday life and architecture of buildings. The Zabiyaka family was repressed by the Ryadyan authorities, Sydor and his son ended up in the Gulag camps, the estate was confiscated, and its owner died without ever reaching the threshold of his native house. The Korchakys restored the estate in memory of Zabiyaka and all Ukrainian people who suffered hardships and a difficult fate on our not-so-own land," wrote Vitalii Porovchuk.

According to him, the owners of the estate-museum are currently forming an exposition. The interior of the residential buildings will feature icons, books, furniture, dishes, textiles, clothes, embroidered towels, and household items of that time. The barns already have various household tools, vehicles, other equipment, and machines.

"The Zabiyaks had a forge, a brickyard, and a large garden, an apiary - all of this is planned to be revived.
The liberation theme will also be presented, because neighboring Derman is associated with Ulas Samchuk and the colonel of the UNR army and general of the UPA Leonid Stupnytsky, and Buderazh is associated with the history of the Ukrainian Main Liberation Council," says the scout.

According to him, the estate has already become a home for scouts. Families with disabled children and military personnel come here to relax and socialize.

Приватний музей просто неба "Верхівська садиба" створюється в селі Верхів між Рівним та Острогом місцевим подружжям Корчаків. Тут можна буде пожити, занурившись в атмосферу сторічної волинської давнини, розповів на власній сторінці у Facebook рівненський пластун та священник Віталій Поровчук, який вже відвідав садиб-музей.

"Пластові приятелі з Рівного – лікарі Ігор та Людмила Корчаки – реконструюють українське сільське обійстя, збудоване у 1920-1930-х роках Сидором Забіякою – українцем, підприємливою і творчою людиною, господарство якого не поступалося тогочасним багатим і передовим господарствам волинських чехів і зберігало свої українські риси в побуті та архітектурі будівель. Сім'я Забіяк була репресована рядянською владою, Сидір та його син потрапили у табори ГУЛАГу, садиба була конфіскована, а її господар помер, так і не потрапивши на поріг рідної хати. Корчаки восстановили усадьбу в память о Забияках и всех украинских людях, подвергшихся скитаниям и тяжелой судьбе на нашей не своей земле", – написал Виталий Поровчук.

За його словами, власники садиби-музею наразі формують експозицію. В інтер'єрі житлових будинків будуть представлені ікони, книги, меблі, посуд, текстиль, одяг, вишиті рушники, побутові речі того часу. В клунях вже є різні господарські знаряддя, транспортні засоби, інша техніка, верстати.

"Забіяки мали кузню, цегельню і великий сад, пасіку – все це планується відродити. Буде представлено і визвольна тематика, адже сусідній Дермань пов'язаний з Уласом Самчуком та полковником армії УНР і генералом УПА Леонідом Ступницьким, а Будераж – з історією Української Головної Визвольної Ради", – каже пластун.

За його словами, садиба вже стала оселею для пластунів. Сюди приїздять відпочити і поспілкуватися сім'ї, які мають дітей з інвалідністю та військові.
