The Choreographic Art Museum was opened in Kropyvnytskyi

The updated Ukrainian Choreographic Art History Museum opened in the Kropyvnytskyi Historical and Artistic Museum Space. Until now, it was located on the territory of the State Museum-Reserve of Ivan Tobilevych (Karpenka-Kary) "Khutir Nadiya", reports the press service of the Kirovohrad Regional Council.

Currently, the museum has more than 6,000 objects that demonstrate the dance traditions of Ukraine.

"For almost 20 years, the first and only museum of the history of Ukrainian choreographic art in the world has been operating in the Kirovohrad Region. Since 2004, the goal in the region was to find and accumulate exhibits, but today our task is to preserve these assets. After all, the enemy is not only interested in Ukrainian land, his main the goal is the destruction of Ukrainians as a people with their own culture and traditions. The time will come when every resident and guest of Kirovohrad Region will be able to enjoy the exhibits of the main collections of museums that are currently being preserved. I am sure that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will give us such an opportunity," said the first deputy head of the regional council Yuriy Semenyuk during the opening of the museum.

According to the director of the regional museum of local history, Borys Shevchenko, the exhibition of the museum of choreography is built on the basis of a concept created thanks to the advice of famous choreographers.

"The species series allows us to chronologically trace the development of Ukrainian choreographic art in Ukraine and beyond, the connection between the birth of Ukrainian folk and stage choreography in the work of the luminaries of the Ukrainian theater, the outstanding ballet masters of the past, and the development of Ukrainian dance today," Borys Shevchenko noted.

The museum was placed on the first floor of the premises of the former State Bank at 33 Velyka Perspektivna Street, where the Museum Historical and Artistic Space is currently being formed. The opening of the exposition took place within the framework of the theater festival "September Gems", which takes place in Kropyvnytskyi from September 18 to 24.

Оновлений Музей історії українського хореографічного мистецтва відкрився у Музейному історико-мистецькому просторі Кропивницького. Дотепер він розташовувався на території Державного музею-заповідника Івана Тобілевича (Карпенка-Карого) "Хутір Надія", повідомляє пресслужба Кіровоградської обласної ради. 

Наразі музей налічує понад 6 тисяч предметів, які демонструють танцювальні традиції України.

"Вже майже 20 років на Кіровоградщині діє перший і єдиний у світі музей історії українського хореографічного мистецтва. З 2004 року в області була мета знайти і накопичити експонати, сьогодні ж наше завдання – зберегти ці надбання. Адже ворога цікавить не лише українське земля, його головна ціль – знищення українців як народу зі своєю культурою і традиціями. Прийде час, коли кожен житель і гість Кіровоградщини зможе насолодитися експозиціями основних фондів музеїв, які наразі знаходяться на збереженні. Впевнений, що Збройні сили України дадуть нам таку можливість", – розповів перший заступник голови обласної ради Юрій Семенюк під час відкриття музею.

За словами директора обласного краєзнавчого музею Бориса Шевченка, експозиція музею хореографії побудована на основі концепції, створеної завдяки порадам відомих хореографів.

"Видовий ряд дозволяє хронологічно простежити розвиток українського хореографічного мистецтва в Україні та за її межами, зв'язок зародження української народно-сценічної хореографії у творчості корифеїв українського театру, видатних балетмейстерів минулого з розвитком українського танцю сьогодні", – зазначив Борис Шевченко.

Музей розмістили на першому поверсі приміщення колишнього Державного банку по вулиці Велика Перспективна, 33, де зараз формується Музейний історико-мистецький простір. Відкриття експозиції відбулося в межах театрального фестивалю "Вересневі самоцвіти", який проходить у Кропивницькому з 18 по 24 вересня.
