In the historical village of Babai, enthusiasts are developing educational tourism in places connected with the stay of the prominent Ukrainian philosopher Hryhoriy Skovoroda.

The historical and local lore museum of the urban-type village of Babai of the Vysoka community of the Kharkiv region resumed its work for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression. This was reported by the Vysoka settlement council on its official Facebook page.

"On the occasion of the Day of the liberation of the village of Babai from the German-fascist invaders, after reorganization and re-exposition, the Babai History and Local Lore Museum opens," the message said.

The museum is located in the Palace of Culture and Arts of the Babai village. This year, the institution celebrated its 45th anniversary. Part of the exhibition is dedicated to the stay in Babai of the outstanding Ukrainian philosopher-humanist Hryhoriy Skovoroda, who wrote some philosophical treatises and 15 out of 30 "Kharkiv Fables" here. It is noted that in recent years the museum has been replenished with a large number of exhibits, which made it possible to open new expositions.

The day before, the opening of a new pedestrian tourist route "Skovorody Trail – a journey through springs" was held in Babai, designed to familiarize with the places associated with the life and work of the famous Ukrainian thinker. The route starts from the Skovoroda monument in front of the Palace of Culture, includes the dilapidated Shcherbinins manor, where Skovoroda lived for some time, then runs along the Babai ponds and ends at the "Cold Skovorodynivska Well". There are sanitary areas, rest areas, and photo areas on the trail.

The route was developed by the "Skovoroda Krok" initiative group with the support of the local village council.

Історико–краєзнавчий музей селища міського типу Бабаї Височанської громади Харківської області відновив свою роботу вперше від початку повномасштабної російської агресії. Про це повідомляє Височанська селищна рада на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

"З нагоди Дня визволення селища Бабаї від німецько-фашистських загарбників після реорганізації та реекспозиції  відкривається Бабаївський історико-краєзнавчий музей", – сказано у повідомленні.

Музей розташовується у приміщенні Палацу культури та мистецтв селища Бабаї. Цьогоріч установі виповнилося 45 років від дня заснування. Частина експозиції присвячена перебуванню в Бабаях видатного українського філософа-гуманіста Григорія Сковороди, який написав тут деякі філософські трактати та 15 з 30 "Байок Харківських". Зазначається, що за останні роки музей поповнився великою кількістю експонатів, що дало можливість відкрити нові експозиції.

Напередодні в Бабаях відбулося відкриття нового пішохідного туристичного маршруту "Стежка Сковороди – мандрівка джерелами", розробленого для ознайомлення з місцями, які пов'язані з життям та творчістю знаменитого українського мислителя. Маршрут починається від пам'ятника Сковороді перед Палацом культури, включає напівзруйновану садибу Щербініних, де певний час жив Сковорода, далі проходить вздовж Бабаївських ставків і завершується біля "Холодної Сковородинівської криниці". На стежці облаштовано санітарні зони, місця відпочинку, фотозони. 

Маршрут розробила ініціативна група "Сковорода Крок" за підтримки місцевої селищної ради.
